For Valentine’s Day we teamed up with Pacific Bride Guide to giveaway a free engagement shoot to one lucky couple. The winners of the Pacific Bride Guide giveaway were Nozomi and Eric. They’ve been living in Tokyo for the past 10 years but come to Hawaii often to visit family. On their latest trip to the islands we met up with them over at Paiko Lagoon in Hawaii Kai for a morning photo session before moving to Waialae Beach Park for sunset.
With the recent tsunami warning we were a bit unsure of how the weather would be but it turned out to be a beautiful day. The clouds and landscape provide a stunning backdrop for the photo session and the recent bad weather washed up some debris that made for some great photo-ops. Check out the engagement video above and a few of our favorite images below.
Rainbows in Hawaii are a common occurrence. Unfortunately they usually appear while I’m driving and can’t get a picture. Luckily the other day while on a photo shoot at Waialae Beach Park a beautiful rainbow appeared and I was able to snap a few shots.
Downtown Honolulu is a must visit while here on Oahu. From the interesting architecture, the booming art scene, restaurant/bar galore, and of course Chinatown. I walked through downtown last week with my mom and brother picking up some chicken feet for my dog and snapping a few pics.
For Valentine’s Day we’ll be doing a free engagement shoot for a lucky couple here on Oahu. Go check out Pacific Bride Guide for a chance to win a free engagement shoot by 10th Letter Media.
The past few days have been quite an adventure. On February 1st we welcomed our beautiful little girl Isabella Corinne. Izzy weighed in at 7.96lbs and was 21 inches long. My wife and I couldn’t be happier. Now a few days old and comfortable in her new home I decided it was time to make a short little film to show her off a little bit….enjoy!
I had the opportunity to shoot some maternity photos for my lovely wife a couple days ago out near Sandy Beach. She was quite reluctant but I twisted her arm with an Oreo McFlurry. Here a few of my favorite pictures from the shoot.
Canon asked photographer, Vincent Laforet, to interpret what story lives beyond the still image of an abandoned teddy bear at an airport terminal and to tell that story with the new Canon EOS 7D. His will be the first chapter of seven, each ending with a still photograph for the next aspiring filmmaker to interpret. Posing the question to everyone, what do you see beyond the still?
These DSLR cinema cameras by Canon are the same we use to make our wedding films. It is inspiring and exciting what these cameras can do. Check out the film below which not only looks amazing but has a very interesting story and has you anticipating the next chapters.
